Gruff is our Dungeon trap maintenance expert. If it chops, drops or shoots then Gruff knows how to fix it.
As well as being a big fan of traps, Gruff is also a massive movie buff. His top three films are Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom; The Goonies; and Home Alone.
Gruff never seems to leave the Dungeon tunnels. Whenever I’m out looking for a new story, I see Gruff shuffling around and tinkering with springs and spikey things. But a little goblin told me once that Gruff is a sports fan, so maybe one day he will follow this interest and get out of these tunnels a bit more.
It’s fair to say that Gruff isn’t the happy type, in fact I worry he is a bit depressed. Which is not surprising as Gruff spends every minute in this place and he never talks about having friends. I do hope he can find some creatures to hang out with; I think this will do him the world of good.
When I first met Gruff he gave me this one piece of advice, “If you ever hear a click, to save your life, you must duck quick” , and this has kept me safe on more than one occasion.
